Hey guys, try this:
You can easily play as Nod, without modding the game in any way. However Scrin are still not playable. This was something posted on the Gamespot forums so I don't take credit for it.
Goto Skirmish: Click the race selection tab, but do not select any. Move your mouse over the Nod selection and at the same time press N and click the mouse. It may take a few tries but it does work! Can also make the enemy GDI.(G + Mouse Click)
You can also use this trick to select the AI traits. Just use the first letter and click the mouse while it is highlighted.
Enjoy guys!

Hey Luckie, nice to be back. So you have confirmed this? I just saw it this morning while surfing around....I can't wait to get home and try it. I was only able to play GDI quickly last night before I had to sleep... All I have to say is the Ion Cannon is a brute! Does NOD have a nuke? -AstraL

Hehe, is this attentionally added? like an easter egg, or have EA just made an huge mistake? And yeah, NOD have a Nuclear missile. Shot from the Temple of NOD. Edited by user Wednesday, February 28, 2007 8:02:21 AM(UTC)

Haha, oh gosh I got an adrenaline rush. It works by using the Scrin too, but when ingame you lose with a Defeated message. So it works to pick the Scrin but you can't play it, DO'H!

I was sitting here starting to wonder if by holding "S" it would allow the Scrin, I'm dying to know what they are all about and what type of balance they will have in this game. So many questions....

I wouldn't say a "huge" mistake. It's quite a screw up, yes, but surely EA realized that you could gain access to all of Nod's technology by simply capturing their Con Yard. Yes, this does allow us more variety in skirmish games than EA probably intended, but it's not like we've suddenly gained access to a large portion of the game we couldn't before. At best, this error allows us to try out the various combat styles we're allowed to set for the AI, something I'd think EA would want to show off, not limit. |

Is this supposed to be the "smallest" map on C&C 3? It's HUGE... like the 8 player maps on Generals. Takes ages to reach the other side, so can't really rush the enemy either. Which is good though, kind of relaxing.

Your kidding right? It's tiny! I put an Obelisk at the front of my base, charge it fully, and it's range is almost half way towards the other base. |

Now you're kidding me? I needed 9 Obelisk to surround my base, otherwise they could have just gone inside of my base. And when I putted the AI into Rush... I managed to get my Obelisks up and Temple of NOD before they could reach me. So don't really call that a rush. And if you didn't notice, there are a huge city between the bases, so the Obelisks range of sight are NOWHERE half way to the other base.

The obelisk is awesome. I love using the beam cannons to give them even more power.
After playing the skirmish about a dozen or so times, it's easy to say Nod is my favorite side. Juggernaut and Mammoth are cool but the Avatar mech just blows stuff away with the lasers and the bombers are awesome.

I'm beginning to wonder if your version of the demo came with a different map than mine, because in my map, there is no "huge city" in the center, just a few buildings. Anywho, the jury favors the one with the evidence, so here's a screen shot, the Obelisk is placed at the center-most-front of my base and fully charged. As I said, it almost reaches the center. |

What the heck do you mean by fully charged? My Obelisks only reach "almost" that first building you have on your screenshot. And I suppose you don't see the city because of all the buildings in the way. Edited by user Thursday, March 1, 2007 3:37:43 AM(UTC)
